About Anne
Sculptor Anne Ricketts lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
Each piece begins as a hand-carved clay model and is then cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax process, a technique dating back 6,000 years. The result is a collection of expressive sculptures that echo the richness and artistry of the past.
Drawing inspiration from the human form and the natural world, her bronze works convey a sense of movement and vary in scale—from palm-sized pieces to larger tabletop sculptures. There is a quality to the work that feels both timeless and deeply human
Anne’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, The Huffington Post, InStyle, The L.A.Times, California Home Design (Trina Turks Picks) and OUT Magazine.
In The Studio
"The expression of the human form is something I am always drawn to and moved by. I carve in small form and miniature because there is something so wonderful about sculpture that can be touched, held, and carried. Often I think sculpture is meant to be touched, as we are as humans." - Anne Ricketts
